From centuries this sacred ritual of Roshnee has been performed. Fifteen minutes before the Maghrib Azan, the sacred ritual of Roshnee is performed. The ceremony begins with the Khuddam (caretakers) bringing candles into the shrine , with the drums beaten rhythmically in the background. Once inside, the Khadims place the candles in lamps and recite the Dua-e- Roshnee, a prayer written in Persian verse. Finally, the lamps are placed at the four corners of the Holy Tomb and are enlightened , signifying the completion of the ritual. This ritual symbolises enlightenment and divine blessings.

    KARKA

Karka is the closing ceremony of the tomb, which begins an hour after the Isha prayer. According to an old tradition , about 20 minutes before the door is closed, a person calls for the bell to ring five times. Once the clocks hits the fifth time, signalling the devotees to move out of tomb. Then, three khadims clean the tomb (Astane Auliya) using a Farrasha, a broom made of peacock feathers. Afterward, they exit the tomb, and the bell rings six times. As the bell stops immediately, the Qawwals sing a special song called 'Karka.' Once the song ends, the entrance to the tomb is closed.
